Oxford University announced a new funding plan for Ukrainian refugees
A scholarship offered by the University of Oxford and co-funded by participating colleges, will allow 20 Ukrainian students to participate in a Master’s degree program. To encourage participation, students (who have the opportunity to apply) will be exempt from the application fee. Each of the students who is awarded the scholarship will be exempt from paying university fees, and will receive £7500 funding to cover their living and study costs.
The 20 students will have access to the “Oxford Refugee Studies Center”, where they will be able to participate in a series of workshops and seminars.
In addition, the university is committed to providing welfare and financial assistance:
- to Ukrainian students who are currently studying for an undergraduate course
- to all Ukrainian students who will start studying at Oxford in Michealms term (October 2022).
Students will alsohave the option to get to Oxford through the “Family Reunification route” or the UK Government’s “Homes for Ukraine scheme”.
